“Investment in bettering yourself and the future you. Let your future self look back on the changes you make today and be thankful you made them.” – Zero Dean .

Investment in your well-being and healing is one of the most important and meaningful uses of your energy and resources, because it changes how you experience your life, your relationships, and the communities of which you are a part.

“Investment” means a commitment of your time, energy, finances to improving your well-being.

At Portalis Health, we honor the investment you’re making in yourself and the trust that you place in us with our own commitment to helping you achieve your goals. Our rates seek to strike a balance between the realization that financial investment, especially for those needing care, are often not easy to make or sustain,* and the fact that therapists are trained professionals whose own well-being and financial stability is crucial to their ability to serve their clients well.

Prices for individual services vary and are included on the service pages.

We currently do not bill insurance, but are happy to support you in utilizing any out of network benefit. Many of our clients get reimbursed by their insurance company.

*If you have financial challenges that hinder your access to care, please inquire about our sliding scale options, which are available on a limited basis.

There are significant benefits to seeing an out of network therapist:

  • Insurance companies won’t have a say in your care. Therapists typically need to justify the type, amount and frequency of care you are getting to your insurance company.
  • You maintain your privacy and record. Having a mental health record can, unfortunately, sometimes subject you to discriminatory practices.
  • Session time can be flexible. Insurance sometimes dictates the length of session.
  • You don’t need a diagnosis. Insurance companies require that you have a diagnosis.
  • It supports therapists well being, so they can be better therapists. By not taking insurance therapists can have manageable caseloads, more flexible schedules, and significantly less time on paperwork. Allowing them to focus on providing the highest quality care.
