psychotherapy requirements

Requirements

 
  • Have completed a minimum of 40 hours of personal psychotherapy
  • Have an ongoing commitment to abolitionist values including anti-racist/oppression, de-colonialist,  and collective healing work
  • Social Work – Associates licensure or fully licensed, in good standing, to work in Washington or Oregon State
  • Background Check
  • Masters degree or doctoral degree in psychology, mental health, or social work
  • Access to technology and privacy to provide online therapy

  • Theoretical orientation that supports depth-oriented and relational work 
  • Value continued supervision and clinical consultation 
  • Enjoys establishing meaningful relationships with colleagues
  • Have an ongoing commitment to their own personal work, health, and well-being
  • Work from a trauma-informed holistic framework
  • An ability (or desire to grow) in feeling comfortable holding space for and meeting clients where they are at in deep despair, hopelessness, SI, difficult and complex emotions
  • A liberatory lens with the ability to be curious and work with people from different life experiences
  • Belief that everyone has the capacity for change, that everyone has inherent worth as foundational to practice 
  • Be able to incorporate a directive approach when appropriate 
  • A desire to grow and develop in trauma and relational modalities including Depth, Somatics, Liberation Psychology, Psychedelic Assisted, EMDR, Narrative, Exposure, Movement and Creative therapies.
  • A willingness to see couples, families, polycules, and/or youth.
  • A visionary mindset and openness to collaborate and invest in co-creating writing, retreats, courses, groups and projects to expand services and impact.
